Executive M.B.A. Admissions Process

The Executive MBA Program begins each fall.  Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.  The deadline for applications for fall 2008 is May 15, 2008.  Applications recieved after this date will be considered for admission only if space is available. In the event the class has been filled before the deadline, the applicant will be placed on a waiting list.

Application Packet Checklist

A completed Executive M.B.A. application packet consists of the following:

  • Completed application form,
  • Current resume,
  • Organization chart showing the applicant’s position in the organization,
  • Three essays,
    • What are your ultimate career objectives? How will the Simon Executive MBA Program contribute to your attainment of these objectives? Why is this the right time for you to undertake this program?
    • Describe the most significant way, either in or out of your job, that you have demonstrated leadership.
    • In some of your courses, you are given a case assignment to be completed in a team comprised of four to six students. What is the most significant strength you would bring to this group process? Explain how you have demonstrated this trait in other situations.
  • Two letters of recommendation,
  • Sponsorship approval form,
  • Payment plan agreement, and
  • Official transcripts of academic records from all undergraduate, graduate and professional schools.

The sponsorhip approval form, payment plan agreement and transcripts MUST be submitted in hard copy.  All other components may be submitted electronically.

Personal Interview

The Executive M.B.A. Programs Office will contact the applicant to schedule the interview once a complete application packet has been received. You will be notified of your admission status within one week of your interview.

Tuition & Fees

The approximate cost of the Executive M.B.A. Program is $77,500. This cost covers tuition, all required books and materials, meals, other costs associated with the program and events.

Upon acceptance into the program, a $2,000 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to hold a place in the class. The deposit is applied toward that first tuition payment due in September of the first year of the program. Generally, tuition is to be paid in four payments. You may contact the Bursar’s Office to inquire about other payment arrangements.  Tuition is not refundable.

Transfer Credits

The Executive M.B.A. Program offers an integrated sequence of 17 courses requiring team-based participation. Therefore, no credit toward the Executive M.B.A. Program is given on the basis of coursework completed in any other program.
